SRP

Summer Readiness is an eight week opportunity for first-time college students. It's designed to help students acquire better reading and writing skills.
So, why Summer Readiness?
I’ve been asked that a few times. Before graduation, I wanted to do something over the summer. I don’t know how to drive or have a job.
I didn’t want to waste time finding one.
Since day one, it was a new experience to me. I’ve never done anything like this. Most of my school life, I stayed home and I wasn't involved in many things. I met new friends who’ve put me into a comfort zone. I'd list them, but it's about one third of the class. I don’t have to worry about being shy anymore. I already knew it was going to be boring to a certain degree. The homework load wasn’t a surprised. It doesn't compare to what I had during my junior and senior year.
I’ll brag about it on Facebook, but the homework keeps me occupied.
If I didn’t come to SRP, I’d probably be sleeping right now. Most of my friends have nothing to do. By coming to SRP, I’m learning new techniques that help me strengthen reading and writing skills. I just want to get a head start on school, knowing what to expect.
